Christmas is celebrated as the biggest event of Christians in Kushtia’s Kumarkhali. This festival was celebrated at CHILDREN OF LIGHT CHURCH in Maliat village on Wednesday organized by Christian Association Kushtia District Branch and with the full cooperation of Upazila Administration. General Secretary of Bangladesh Christian Association Kushtia District Branch and Bishop Zaker ALi Shuva presided over the function as chief guest. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Kumarkhali, Md. Amirul Arafat. Kumarkhali Press Club President Lipu Khandkar, General Secretary Sohag Mahmud, Upazila Press Club President Farhad Amir Tipu, General Secretary Golam Sarwar, Kumarkhali Reporters. President of Unity Abu Daud Ripon, General Secretary of District Puja Udjakar Parishad, Adv. Jaydev Kumar Biswas, Shudhanshu Kumar Ghose of Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad, Vice President of Press Club and Kumarkhali representative of Channel S Television Manowar Hossain and many others were present. At the end of the ceremony, special prayers were offered in the church, Christ music was performed as well as cake cutting and sharing of joy.
