Victory day celebrated with various event in Gazaria

The great Victory Day was celebrated with various events in Gazaria, Munshiganj. On the occasion of the day,
The day’s program began with 31 cannon shots at sunrise on Wednesday (December 16).
That morning, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kohinoor Akhter, on behalf of the Gazaria Upazila administration, laid wreaths at the Freedom Fighters Memorial in the Upazila Parishad premises. After this, leaders of various political parties and social and cultural organizations including the Thana Police, Freedom Fighters’ Association, Upazila BNP, and others laid wreaths at the Freedom Fighters Memorial. At that time, a crowd of people from different walks of life thronged the Freedom Fighters Memorial in the Upazila Parishad premises to pay tribute to the martyred freedom fighters.
In addition, day-long grand victory fairs, discussion meetings, receptions for the brave freedom fighters, prayers and supplications were held at mosques, temples and other religious places of worship, wishing for the forgiveness of the departed souls of the martyred freedom fighters, the good health of the war-wounded freedom fighters, and peace and progress for the nation.
On the other hand, to mark the day, a colorful rally was taken out at Bhaberchar bus stand area at around 10:30 am under the initiative of the Islami Andolan Bangladesh Gazaria branch. The rally went around various roads and ended at the same place.
Bangladesh Islamic Movement Gazaria branch president Al Amin Sarkar, general secretary Mujibur Rahman Sarkar, Gazaria Thana National Ulama Council president Abdullah Mahbub Qasemi, Islamic Youth Movement Gazaria branch president Maulana Mahmudul Hasan, general secretary Nazmul Farazi and at least 150 to 200 leaders and activists participated in the rally.
