Mymensingh District Police inaugurated the great Victory Day by firing 31 cannons at the Liberation War Memorial in Mymensingh district at sunrise.

Later, under the leadership of Mymensingh District Superintendent of Police Md. Azizul Islam, the district police paid tribute to all the martyrs and placed wreaths at the memorial.

After laying wreaths at the memorial, the Superintendent of Police participated in the national flag hoisting and combined parade at the Circuit House grounds at 8 am.

After the parade, he participated in the grand inauguration of the day-long Bijoy Mela organized at the Baisakhi stage of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin Udyan at 9:30 am. After the prize distribution ceremony of the shooting competition organized at the District Shooting Complex at 10:45 am, he attended the discussion meeting based on the history of the Liberation War and the reception in honor of the family members of the martyred freedom fighters and the brave freedom fighters as a special guest and gave a speech explaining the struggle, sacrifice, glory and significance of Bijoy Day at the Advocate Tarek Memorial Auditorium located at the Town Hall at 11 am.
