Fire Service Celebrates Victory day with Humble Respect

Fire Service and Civil Defense celebrated Victory Day through various programs in humble respect of all the martyrs and freedom fighters. On the occasion of Victory Day, Victory Day 2024 was celebrated by lighting up, placing wreaths at the memorial, drawing competition, friendly cricket match and organizing prayers for the martyrs and freedom fighters.

On December 16, at 9:00 am, Director General of the Department, Brigadier General Muhammad Zahed Kamal, NDC, AFWC, PSC, along with officials, paid floral tributes at the Martyrs’ Memorial of the Mirpur Training Complex in Dhaka.

Directors of the Department, Principal of the Training Complex and other officers and employees were present at the time. Then, a drawing competition on Bangladesh and the Great Liberation War was organized with the participation of the sons and daughters of the officers and employees. A T20 friendly cricket match was held between the officers and employees of Mirpur Training Complex and Dhaka Division from 11:00 AM.

Dhaka Division won the friendly cricket match. Barakhana was organized for all the members at all the fire service stations of the country. After the Zohr prayers, the day-long program ended with prayers at all the mosques of the fire service. On the occasion of the great Victory Day, illumination was done at all the divisional offices, district offices and fire stations across the country including the headquarters of the Fire Service and Civil Defense from the evening of December 15.

Along with the central program, similar programs were celebrated at the divisional, district offices and all fire stations across the country. In addition, vehicles, pumps and manpower were deployed for fire safety at various places in the country including the Savar National Memorial and Bangabhaban.
