Protest rally in Netrokona demanding Babar’s release

A protest rally was held in Netrokona demanding the release of former State Minister for Home Affairs Md. Lutfuzzaman Babar, a two-time BNP MP nominated from Netrokona-4 (Madan-Mohanganj-Khaliajuri) constituency.
The district BNP organized the protest rally at the local Shaheed Minar on Wednesday (December 11) afternoon. The protest rally was chaired by the district BNP convener, eminent orthopedic physician Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Haque, and was moderated by joint conveners Tajezul Islam Faras Sujat and SM Moniruzzaman Dudu. District BNP member secretary, central BNP working executive member Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam Hilali, former president of the district BNP, former member of parliament, freedom fighter Ashraf Uddin Khan, former president of the district BNP, Advocate Nuruzzaman Nuru, district BNP C joint convener, former general secretary, Advocate Mahfuzul Haque, former general secretary, Abu Taher Talukder, district BNP joint convener, Mojibur Rahman Khan, former vice president, former upazila chairman Abdul Mannan Talukder, former organizing secretary SM Shafiqul Quader Shuja, former vice president Imran Khan Chowdhury, and BNP presidents, conveners, and member secretaries from various upazilas. This is the first time that such a big showdown of BNP has been held in Netrokona after the change of power. Speakers at the rally strongly demanded the withdrawal of all false cases filed by the fallen dictator Sheikh Hasina government against BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman and former state minister for home affairs Lutfuzzaman Babar and their immediate and unconditional release.
