Lalmonirhat BGB-15th arrests drug dealer with 96 bottles of Phensedyl

Since its establishment, the BGB has been relentlessly performing its duties to protect the borders and sovereignty of Bangladesh, ensure the safety of the bordering public, prevent illegal infiltration, prevent smuggling and prevent drug trafficking. In continuation of this, the Anantapur BOP commander under the Lalmonirhat Battalion
(15 BGB) learned on the basis of secret information that a drug smuggler would smuggle drugs on a motorcycle through the area called North Anantapur Kadamtali More, which is the responsibility of the Anantapur BOP. Based on the information, the patrol team led by the Anantapur BOP Commander started lying in wait on the side of the road at a place called Kadamtali More (Phulbari Police Station, District Kurigram) approximately 800 yards inside Bangladesh from the border pillar 947/4-S at approximately 0540 hours. According to the BGB patrol team source, at approximately 0550 hours, they saw a drug dealer coming on a motorcycle and challenged him. When he tried to run away, the patrol team was able to arrest him along with 96 bottles of Indian Phencidyl. The name of the arrested drug dealer is Md. Shaharul Islam (40), father Md. Khalilur Rahman, village-Kanta Nagar, Thana-Sadullahpur, District-Gaibandha. A case has been filed against the arrested accused and the accused and the seized 96 bottles of Indian Phencidyl are under process of being handed over to Phulbari Police Station. In this regard, Lt.
