Journalists have long hands but the hand of law is even longer: Attorney General
Whether a journalist or anyone else is involved in genocide and crimes against humanity, he will be tried according to the law. It is important to remember that journalists have long hands but the hand of the law is even longer and the hand of the state is even longer. Attorney General Mohammad Asaduzzaman said during an exchange of views with journalists at the Chittagong Press Club on Wednesday afternoon.
Mohammad Asaduzzaman also said that a special group, a special circle and a special state are running propaganda against the state to destroy communal harmony. But this nation has united again in exchange for the blood of martyred advocate Saiful Islam Alif. If we are united like this, all conspiracies will be foiled.
Attorney General Mohammad Asaduzzaman said, I do not deny that false cases are being filed on various pretexts. However, unlike the previous fascist government, this case is not being filed by the state or the police. Rather, the government has decided that a case does not mean an arrest. After investigation and verification, the real criminals will be caught. We have kept the door of justice open for everyone.
Regarding the killing of Chittagong advocate Saiful Islam Alif in the ISKCON attack and the arrest of Sanatani Jagran Mancha leader Chimmoy Bahmachari, Mohammad Asaduzzaman said that he is involved in a big conspiracy. Since the allegation is serious, action will be taken after investigation.
