A program to distribute high-quality national identity cards (smart cards) among citizens has been inaugurated in Sirajdikhan, Munshiganj.
Dhaka Region Regional Election Officer Md. Faridul Islam inaugurated the program at the Upazila Parishad hall at 11 am today, Tuesday (December 3).
During the inauguration, he said that citizens will get various types of modern quality services through this smart card. He claimed that this card is very important from the life to the death of a citizen.
Sirajdikhan Upazila Executive Officer Shahina Akhter presided over the event, and special guests included Munshiganj District Election Officer Mohammad Bashir Ahmed, Sirajdikhan Police Station Officer-in-Charge Khandaker Hafizur Rahman, Sirajdikhan Upazila Election Officer Md. Al Amin, Upazila Agriculture Officer Abu Sayeed Shuvro, Upazila Assistant Election Officer Mizanur Rahman, Journalist Debrabrata Das Debu, Anti-Discrimination Movement Student Coordinator Md. Ratul Hasan Shanto, Naeem Ahmed and many others.
During the event, the speakers highlighted the various benefits of smart cards to the general public in their speeches.
