A memorial service in memory of those who died and were injured in the anti-discrimination movement in Sirajdikhan
A meeting and cultural program have been organized in memory of those who died and were injured in the anti-discrimination movement at Sirajdikhan Ichapura Government Model High School, Munshiganj. The memorial service and cultural program were organized in the school auditorium on Monday (November 25).
The event was presided over by the acting headmaster of Ichapura Government Model High School, Md. Jamal Hossain, and moderated by Abdus Samad, senior teacher of Ichapura Government Model High School. The speakers remembered those who died in the anti-discrimination movement and said that we have achieved an independent Bangladesh at the cost of the lives of thousands of students and the public. Thousands of students and the public have been injured and maimed while carrying out this movement.
Therefore, we will not let their lives and blood go in vain.
Everyone must take care that no more fascism takes hold in free Bangladesh. If necessary, we will take to the streets again.
Nevertheless, the murderers will not be given a place on Bengali soil again. Present at the time were – Masuda Zaman, the mother of Mustafa Zaman, the son of Sirajdikhan, who was martyred in the anti-discrimination movement, Sirajdikhan Upazila BNP Vice President Md. Wahiduzzaman Milon, Upazila BNP Joint Secretary Md. Masum Or Rashid, Ichapura Union BNP President Md. Nazmul Hossain, Ichapura Union BNP former president Kazi Kamruzzaman Lipu, Abul Kalam Azad, Abdur Rahman Ripon, student coordinator Ratul Hasan Shanto, students Anjum Islam Toha, Saofa and others.
