Speaking as the chief guest at the Shaheed Zia Memorial Football Tournament, BNP Standing Committee member Babu Gayeshwar Chandra Roy said, democracy is not within our reach. Addressing the chief advisor of the interim government, he called on the people to think about when this path will end and inform them. He also said that people should vote with joy like in a football field. Today, people are not sitting to listen to you and me. People want to listen to their representatives through their votes.

He said these things as the chief guest at the 1st semi-final match of the Shaheed Zia Memorial Football Tournament organized at the Barabari Shaheed Abul Kashem College ground in Lalmonirhat on Saturday (November 23) afternoon.

BNP Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy also said, “Reform is less understood than the price of things. Today, people are shouting, they want a drug-free country, a terror-free country. They do not want big reforms. This reform is not for the people, this reform is for those who run the country. They should not be selfish.

He also said that the Awami League General Secretary used to say that the game will be played. He addressed him and said that he will not be able to play in the tournament in this election.

BNP Organizing Secretary Asadul Habib Dulu presided over the program. BNP Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, BNP National Executive Committee member Ishraq Hossain, and District BNP Joint Secretary AKM Mominul Haque spoke at the time.

10 teams from Rangpur division have participated in the game. The final game will be held on November 28.
