Joint forces conduct operation in Lohagara, Chattogram
A joint force has arrested four people with sharp weapons, stolen mobile phones and drugs in a joint force operation in Kasai Para, present-day named Haji Para, Barahatiya Union, Lohagara, Chattogram.
The operation was conducted at around 6:30 pm on Wednesday (November 13) by members of the army and police forces led by Lohagara Army Camp Commander Major Muhammad Sayeed Hasan and Police Station SI Shariful Islam.
Four people were arrested during the operation, including 10 stolen mobile sets, 12 sharp weapons, marijuana, yaba, foil paper, 1 CNG autorickshaw, and domestic liquor, during a house search.
The arrested are Mohammad Hosn (40), son of the late Abul Hosn of Boalia Para in Satkania Upazila, Aminul Islam (45), son of the late Ziabul Haque of Sonakania Union, Kamal Uddin (40), son of Abdul Shukkur of present Hajir Para in Barahatia Union, and Md. Ershad (21), son of Rafiq Uddin.
Lohagara Army Camp Commander Major Muhammad Sayeed Hasan said that based on reliable information, four people were arrested in a joint operation by the army and police forces with sharp weapons, stolen mobile sets and narcotics. Two separate cases have been filed against them at the police station under the Narcotics and Arms Acts, said Arifur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station.
