In Hakimpur Hili retail market bordering Dinajpur, prices of raw vegetables and eggs have decreased in a span of three days. But the price of potatoes has increased. Each egg Khachi is being sold at Tk 350 per (30 pcs) reduced by Tk 20. On the other hand, despite the continued import of potatoes through the port, the price of potatoes has been increased.
Hili Panama Port Link Limited administrative officer Zobair Hossain David said, several days ago potatoes were irregularly imported through Hili land port, but now the amount of potato import has increased. On November 5, 36 trucks carrying Indian potatoes entered the port through Hili land port.
Hafizur Rahman, who is in charge of Hili Zero Point on November 6, said that 26 Indian trucks carrying potatoes entered the port till 4:30 pm.
