The members of RAB-5 Joypurhat camp conducted a raid based on a tip-off and arrested two ringleaders along with the equipment for printing fake notes and fake money.
They were arrested from Barman Para area of ​​Joypurhat Sadar Upazila on Monday afternoon. The arrested are – Arafat Azizul Haque, son of Anisur Rahman of Mulgram village of Kalai Upazila of the district and Ahsad Ullah (16), son of Al-Amin of Rangamati area of ​​Dhamurhat upazila of Naogaon district. At that time RAB members recovered various equipments for printing fake notes. This information was informed in RAB-5 press release on Tuesday morning.
RAB-5 commander captain Asif Al Razek said Arafat and Ahsan have been involved in the business of making and marketing fake notes for a long time. They openly admitted that they used to make fake notes on the occasion of upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja and pass them off as real money by tricking them into bundles of real money. They also said that they used to market these fake notes in various markets.
