Declaration of Clean and Healthy Village by World Vision in Kishoreganj

Panial Pukur Kholahati Village of Nitai Union of Kishoreganj Upazila of Nilphamari has been declared as clean and healthy village.
On Thursday morning, the village was declared a clean and healthy village by Kishoreganj Area Program, World Vision. On this occasion, a discussion meeting was held at Kholahati Para. Nitai UP Chairman Mottakinur Rahman Abu presided over the meeting and highlighted the significance of a clean and healthy village. Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Al Mamun, Social Service Officer Zakir Hossain, AP Manager Piking Chambugong, Program Officer John Kennedy Crush etc. were also present, Ward Member Monarul Islam, Village Development Committee President Shahidar Rahman, Azizar Rahman, Child and Youth Forum representatives. WASH Committee, dignitaries along with one hundred beneficiary family members. It is known that the world vision is to ensure the use of safe water in villages, 100% use of sanitary latrines, reducing the mortality rate of malnourished children and pregnant mothers, stopping child labor, children going to school regularly, increasing pregnancy awareness and institutional delivery of mothers, increasing ANC and PNC services, Sensitizing the public about good hygiene practices, inculcating the habit of hand washing, declaring child marriage free villages, keeping garbage in designated areas, organic farming, use of liquid and organic fertilizers, cultivation of pesticide free vegetables in residential backyards, use of solar power. The village was declared as a healthy and clean village to implement various activities including growth.
