Today on Wednesday (August 21) at the CMCH, after inquiring about the physical condition of the injured patients in the anti-discrimination student movement and providing financial assistance to them, religion adviser said in a press briefing —

Religious Adviser D. A F M Khalid Hossain said that the government is always by their side for the proper treatment and rehabilitation of those who were injured in this movement and the government is committed to support the families of those who were killed in the anti-discrimination student movement. Besides the government, various voluntary organizations and charitable individuals have come to the side of the injured. There is nothing to worry about the treatment of the injured. The entire nation is with them.

the govt is starting the process of forming a foundation under the initiative of the chief adviser with the help of the victims of the July revolution. Through this foundation, financial assistance will be provided to the families of those killed in the July Revolution and initiatives will be taken to rehabilitate the injured including treatment, He added his speech.

The religious adviser also said that the govt is bearing the cost of the entire treatment of those injured in the July revolution. Govt will bear all the medical expenses of those who are under treatment in different hospitals of the country including Dhaka during this revolution. Even if someone needs to be taken out of the country for treatment, the government will also arrange for it.

D. Khalid Hossain said, we have also kept those under treatment in private hospitals under close observation and their medical expenses will also be borne by the government.

Director (CMCH) Brigadier General Taslim Uddin, Mother and Child Hospital Engineer Javed Afsar Chowdhury, As-Sunnah Trust Chairman Shaikh Ahmadullah, one of the coordinators of anti-discrimination student movement Sarjis Alam, Hasnat Abdullah and co-coordinator Tanveer Ahmad were present.

Before this, the advisor exchanged views with doctors and officials in the conference room of Chattogram Medical College and Hospital. In this, he promised full support for the development of the medical college.

It is to be noted that 20 people undergoing treatment at CMCH were given financial assistance of Tk 10 lakha and 80 thousands under the initiative of As-Sunnah Trust. This trust has already provided financial assistance of five crore TK for the treatment of those injured in the anti-discrimination student movement. This foundation will provide financial assistance of five crore TK later.
