Complaints against Hasina, Quader and others in the tribunal

A complaint has been filed in the International Criminal Tribunal against 77 people including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former bridge minister Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader in connection with the killing, genocide and torture in Chittagong during the quota reform movement.
Zakir Hossain, the father of Faisal Ahmed, who was killed in Chittagong, filed this complaint with the investigation agency of the International Criminal Tribunal. The application was submitted to the coordinator of the investigation agency on Wednesday. The investigating agency office has recorded the matter (Diary No. 682).
According to Section 8 of the International Criminal Tribunal Act, 1973, the accused are requested to take legal action after investigation. Sections 3(2) and 4(1) (2) are charged with genocide and crimes against humanity.
Apart from Sheikh Hasina, the other accused are- former bridge minister Obaidul Quader, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former education minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel, former foreign minister Hasan Mahmud, Chhatra League president Saddam Hossain, general secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan.
Among the other accused are – Mahtab Uddin Ahmad, Azam Nashir Uddin, Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, Abu Reza Md Nezamuddin Nadvi & 77 others.
The date of incident mentioned in the case is July 16. The location of Abhiyo has been mentioned as Muradpur intersection of Panchlaish police station of Chittagong Metropolitan. Crimes against humanity have been charged in this case.
