DC Chattogram including other 24 withdrawal
Deputy Commissioners (DC) of 25 districts of the country have been withdrawn and transferred to various ministries and offices.
The decision was announced in a separate notification of the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday.
Dhaka, Sylhet, Habiganj, Mymensingh, Magura, Rangpur, Gaibandha, Naogaon, Natore, Cox’s Bazar, Chittagong, Noakhali, Gazipur, Comilla, Moulvibazar, Khulna, Gopalganj, Faridpur, Sherpur, Kushtia, Jhenaidah, Pabna, Bogra, Joypurhat and DC of Chandpur district has been transferred.
The interim government announced state reforms after taking over. After that, many people known to be close to the Awami League government in the administration resigned. And on behalf of the government, the contract of 11 secretaries under contract was cancelled.
The Awami League government changed the post of DC before the 12th National Parliament election. According to sources in the Ministry of Public Administration, the officials whom they considered reliable and trustworthy in the field administration will now be removed. Officials said that the transfer of these 25 DC is part of it.
It is said that divisional commissioners, additional district commissioners, upazila executive officers, assistant commissioners including (land) field level officers will also be transferred step by step.
