Exchange of views with journalists of CTG Metropolitan BNP

Chottogram Metropolitan BNP organized an exchange of views with journalists at Pit Stop Restaurant in Lalkhan Bazar of the city regarding the latest situation in Chottogram after the end of Awami misrule. On Monday (August 12) afternoon,
Alhaj Ershad Ullah, convenor of Chottogram Metropolitan BNP, read the written statement. Metropolitan BNP Member Secretary Nazimur Rahman delivered the welcome speech. In this, they interacted with journalists on various issues and answered various questions.

In a written statement, Ershad Ullah said that the unprecedented struggle that the students across the country have built against the dictatorial misrule through the anti-discrimination movement across the country, that struggle has been fulfilled in exchange of a lot of blood and sacrifices. On August 5, the students of Apam in Bangladesh did the impossible. Dictator Hasina brought down the government. In the face of an unprecedented public protest, Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country. The public explosion is the manifestation of the anger that has been created among the students of the country due to the misrule of Awami for the last 15 years. This popular uprising proved once again that no dictator can survive with the power of the people. After 15 long years our dear motherland is freed from the Octopus of Fascism. Bangladesh has become independent again today at the cost of the lives of hundreds of students. We pray for the souls of those who were martyred in the anti-discrimination student movement, and for the speedy recovery of those who were injured.

He said that after the end of Awami misrule, when the nation is moving forward in unity in the hope of building a democratic Bangladesh in the new journey of democracy, the active friends of the fallen dictatorship are using crooks and opportunists from behind the scenes to create chaos and insecurity in the society through extortion, occupation, attacks and looting in different parts of the country. is consumed Among its multifaceted ambitions is to dampen the glory of conquest, and to create an environment that protects against genocide, corruption and looting. Disrupting the democratic process by creating an atmosphere of fear and terror everywhere. Their plan at the moment is to divide the society with the aim of communal riots. They have also become desperate in trying to create division among the people. At the same time, they are trying to put the responsibility of these heinous crimes on the BNP. But with the grace of Almighty God and the united efforts of the people, this attempt of the Kuchkri Mahal was not successful in the beginning.

But the countrymen and the whole world saw that no such incident happened after the mass revolution, instead BNP along with clerics, ulema and brothers of the anti-discrimination student movement are keeping vigil at night to guard the neighborhoods and temples of the minorities. In order to remove their fear of insecurity, the leaders and activists of Chittagong Metropolitan BNP and organizations are continuously visiting Hindu Buddhist religious establishments, meeting with religious leaders and providing assistance. This unprecedented example of non-communalism and inter-religious harmony in the country is receiving unceasing praise abroad. Hindu religious leaders and priests have lauded our efforts and said they have not been attacked or attacked so far. After the failure of the Awami strategy of murdering millions of Awami League leaders and workers and making the entire country a wasteland by spreading communal poison, now this fallen power has gathered the identified killers and is desperate to thwart the great goal of the democratic march and mass revolution by using various banners of peaceful minority communities. Taking advantage of the temporary absence of the law and order forces, they are trying to carry out robbery attacks in the middle of the night by screaming and shouting in different neighborhoods. Just as the “double identity” of bringing forward religious identity to protect oneself from the responsibility of committing various crimes including terrorism, murder and crime in party identity is unacceptable in the eyes of the law, similarly the victims of crime will not accept this trick of hunting fish in muddy water.

In a written statement, he said, we want to say in an unequivocal language that Bangladesh has set another example in the world in terms of religious harmony and non-communalism. It is our tradition of thousands of years. All the citizens of the land called Bangladesh have one identity, we are Bangladeshis. We never believe in majority or minority. We also want to assure that if a democratic government is formed after the transition of the situation, initiatives will be taken to prosecute those who have been illegally occupying and looting the property of the Awami League and their allies for the past 15 years. At the same time, armed terrorists led by Chhatra League, Jubo League Svechchasevak League, who are accused of killing and torturing students, will not be freed from the responsibility of their crimes by using the card of communalism, regardless of their religion.

Ershad Ullah said that law enforcement forces including the police administration have already joined their workplace. We thank them for that. But we don’t want Awami demonic police force like in the past. We want humane police administration. Those who will be engaged in the service of the country and the people and the police administration will be conducted according to the Police Act.
