Tomorrow Traffic police are coming down at five points in CTG

Traffic  policemen will perform their duty on the road from tomorrow Monday in Chittagong city wearing clothes. And students of anti-discrimination student movement will coordinate with them.

City Police Commissioner said this in a meeting in the conference room of Dampara Police Lines Commissioner’s office on Sunday (August 11) afternoon. Saiful Islam

Police   commissioner said, “From tomorrow (Monday), our traffic policemen will be on duty at five important points in the city. They will be accompanied by a student representative at each point. Initially, police will be responsible for traffic control in Agrabad, Tigerpass, Wasa, Lalkhanbazar and Agrabad areas. If necessary, coordination will also be done in the Newmarket area.

CMP commissioner said, “I see coming and going on the streets. In fact, our students have worked tirelessly. They tried to control the traffic by sweating. Their initiative must be applauded. But I can’t bear their suffering anymore.

He said that the students will be given traffic related training, “If the situation is normal, I will give some traffic related training to the students.” One more thing, in no way should any Kuchkrimahal take advantage.

Referring to the issue of police security, he said to the students, “From tomorrow we will go out in clothes.” If you chase me then I will go away. A policeman was also beaten up the day before yesterday. I strongly believe these are not the students’ work. You have to be very careful about these things.

Divisional Commissioner Tofail Islam, Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman and coordinators of anti-discrimination student movement also addressed the meeting.

Divisional Commissioner said, ‘We respect your youth and talent. Now is not the time to make demands. You have earned your claim. So now without raising any new demands we should build the damaged state nicely. So now the main priority is law and order.

He said, ‘We are sitting with you to keep law and order under control. We want your support, we will also support you. Even though the police stations were damaged, our students saved the KPIs that we have in Chittagong. I am proud of the students for this. Full credit to the anti-discrimination student activists.’

Chattogram  Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman said, “The committee will be made to ensure the security of the police.” And it will be done with the students. The police should be returned to work to normalize the law and order situation in Chittagong as soon as possible. The students have to remove the fear in them. Before this, we had two meetings with the students and took several initiatives.
He said, ‘Our magistrates will perform duties in three parts – Chittagong city, North district and South district. And the student representatives will also coordinate with them. The students have already made their list.
Central Coordinator Russell Ahmed said, ‘Agrabad, Dewanhat, Tigerpass, Lalkhan Bazar, Wasa Mor – these important roads will have traffic police. There will also be student representatives. Space will be increased if necessary. Teams are being formed in each police station. Work will be done accordingly. Students will work for the security of the police.

Police Commissioner will have police station-wise citizen safety committee, said, ‘Citizen safety committee will be formed in every police station of Chittagong Metropolitan Area. So that there will be student representatives along with dignitaries of the respective areas. And this work will be done by the students, then there will be no possibility of mistakes. And the members of the concerned police station committee will be given the number of the members of the quick response team of that area. So that they can coordinate.’
Urging the students to go to the police station, the commissioner said, ‘You have to go to the police station. Otherwise, the fear of the working members will not go away. Most of our policemen are older than you. I told them all that the students did not commit any sabotage. So you will protect them.
