The Health Minister said at one point in his speech, Today I am really impressed to see this children’s hospital, 40 years ago I came to this hospital once with Prof. Fazlul Karim sir.
Health Minister also said, Chittagong is one of my favorite places. I am very happy to see the medical services of NICU, Child ICU, Adult ICU, CCU, Cancer Department of this hospital. Many government hospitals do not have such specialized medical services. Chattogram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital is making important contribution at the private level. We are working tirelessly to improve the quality of medical care. I am constantly traveling from one end of the country to the other and trying to improve medical services at the marginal level. If the medical services are improved at the marginal level, people will not have to come to the city for medical services at a large rate. We need to improve the quality of medical care, produce skilled and qualified doctors. It is not possible for me or the government alone to do everything. For this we need your cooperation. He assured full cooperation for the development of Chattogram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital.
Professor Dr. Abul Basar Mohammad Khurshid Alam, special guest on the occasion, said that Chattogram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital is playing a very important role in improving the quality of medical services at the private level in Bangladesh along with the government. This hospital has a great reputation for medical education and medical services. Especially in specialized medical services, Chattogram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital is far ahead. He also said, I have come to this hospital many times and am aware of the general affairs of the hospital.
He assured all kinds of cooperation from the government for the overall development of the hospital.
