Illegal beach occupiers to be evicted before Eid-ul-Az-Har – DC

19 instructions have been given to restore the beauty of Patenga beach, the district administration is coming to implement it before Eid.

 

Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman said that the beauty of Patenga beach will be restored before Eid al-Adha.

He said this in the discussion meeting organized with the beach management committee at the Chittagong District Commissioner’s conference room on Thursday 16th May morning. He also said, “Before the upcoming Eid al-Adha, the illegal occupants will be removed from the beach and the beauty will be brought back to the beach. Various decisions have been taken, including the installation of CCTV cameras on the beach, the installation of sufficient lights and the construction of toilets. Besides, measures will also be taken for regular supervision. At the same time, the price list of food will be displayed. .
In the meeting, details were discussed in the meeting of “Chittagram Beach Management Committee” for proper management of all the beaches of Chittagong district including Patenga and Parkis and coordination of tourism development and related activities.
Apart from this, the honorable members of the committee gave their statements regarding the security, discipline and provision of various facilities for tourists, construction of infrastructure, overall development of the beach, control and management of all the beaches of the district including Patenga and Parki in Chittagong. All the members present in the meeting gave their opinion to develop Patenga beach on the pattern of Cox’s Bazar beach. Members of “Chittagong Beach Management Committee”, public representatives, local business leaders and district administration officials were present in the meeting.
