Chittagong District Commissioner Abul Bashar Fakhruzzaman gave a strict warning to stop extortion on the road. He said this in a meeting with Greater Chittagong Public Transport Owners Labour Union Parishad at Chittagong Circuit House on Sunday (April 28).

He also said that the money you take for the welfare of workers, you take it in your office. No extortion will be tolerated if the vehicle is stopped.

RAB has already started an operation on this. Several people were arrested. If you have any complaint about extortion we will take immediate action.

About the car compensation, the Deputy Commissioner said, BRTA will see how much the cars were damaged in the attack. Then we will see if it can be compensated. We will talk to honorable minister and secretary for compensation. In order to arrange compensation for your three cars.

Chittagong Metropolitan Police Additional Police Commissioner Noble Chakma said,
