International Sound Awareness Day celebrated in Shariatpur

International Noise Awareness Day 2024 was celebrated in Shariatpur by the District Administration and Environment Directorate under the theme “Healthy Environment, Smart Bangladesh, Let us strive to reduce noise pollution”. On this occasion, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a rally took place in front of the District Commissioner’s office, went around the court premises and ended there again.
At the end of the rally in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner Mocha Additional District Magistrate: Tashlima Akhtar chaired and Executive Magistrate Md Abdullah Al Mamun attended the discussion meeting, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Md Mainuddin, District Animal Resources Officer Dr Md Abu Bakar Siddique, District Information Officer Shahin Mia, Ifa’s deputy director agronomist Dr. Muhammad Abu Talha and others. Also representatives of various government departments including freedom fighters, representatives of private departments and journalists were present. Md. Russell Noman, assistant director of Shariatpur Environment Department, gave a welcome speech on the occasion of the day.
Speakers at the meeting called upon everyone to take serious responsibility to reduce health risks by curbing noise pollution through noise awareness.
