Jasim Uddin, head teacher of Al Amin Jamia Islamia Secondary School under the jurisdiction of Sylhet Sadar Upazila has been found guilty of irregular duties. This has created a commotion in the local area.

It is known that he joined the school as a part-time teacher before 2006. Later, on June 1, 2008, he shared the seat of the head teacher by pointing the thumb at the government policy. He was led by the influential person Jamaat (camp) leader Abdus Shakur, the president of that school committee. It can be seen that he is fulfilling his duties as Aladdin’s apprentice by violating the principles of ‘Maushi’.

It can be seen from the search, that the committee president left the teacher recruitment business by his own power by publishing the notice in several local newspapers of Sylhet without giving notice in any national daily newspaper. In addition, even though the secondary MPO was appointed in 2020, the alleged teacher Jasim Uddin did not make any application according to the policy of ‘Maushi’. It is a mysterious but true fact that the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh published an investigation report regarding the appointment of head teachers by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education. The investigation report shows that Jasim Uddin is carrying out his duties in an illegal manner using the chairman of the committee. Although many people are aware of the matter, including the higher officials of the Ministry of Education, but the alleged teacher Jasim Uddin does not care about anything. There is also controversy over educational qualifications. On the contrary, by using the power, he stood against the government and approached the high court to block his seat. Although this educational institution has been bringing good results with great reputation for a long time, aware citizens have become helpless due to the misdeeds of only the head teacher and committee president. Parents and students of the school are in trouble. Many are reluctant to speak out for fear of litigation. Many objective journalists are also afraid to publish news against them. There are complaints that the same committee is repeatedly performing the duties of the school. The two of them formed a collusion on the same basis and were stealing millions of rupees by showing various activities behind the eyes of the public. If a thorough investigation is done by a special intelligence agency, the bag cat will come out.

When Jasim Uddin was asked about this on his mobile phone, he said, I am in a meeting, I will call later. Speaking on the phone with an assistant teacher of the school, who did not want to be named, he said that he did not know anything about the recruitment matter published in the national newspaper. Besides, he is not willing to comment on whether the appointment of head teacher is legal or illegal.

When Sylhet District Education Officer Abdul Wadud was contacted on his mobile phone, he said that an investigation has already been done. The matter has been informed to our higher authorities including DG Sir. He said that when they come to collect government money in the case of MPO registration, we check the matter and pay them money. In that case too, we will adopt the government’s policy.

Speaking on the phone of Abdus Shakur, president of the school committee, he told the reporter that he has given Jasim Uddin the responsibility of the head teacher in his personal power. In response to another question, he said that a case has been filed in Dhaka, but when asked which court the case was filed, he could not confirm. Several times he shirked the duties of the president. Meanwhile, he tried to cover up the headmaster’s investigation.
