Free medical campaign was organized in Sunamganj organized by ‘Manush Manusher Jonno ‘ and ‘Amiyodhara’ social welfare organization.
In the campaign held at Dilshad Hajera Orphanage and Welfare Center of Ahmedabad village of Sadar Upazila of Sunamganj district from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, 13 April, free medical services and medicines were distributed among 232 underprivileged Haor area patients.
Assisted in the campaign and provided medical services –Dr.  Md.  Mahbubur Rahman Swapan, MBBS, BCS (Health) and Assistant Director, Sadar Hospital, Sunamganj.  Dr. Anoop Talukder, MBBS, BCS (Health), MCPS (ENT & Head-Neck Surgery), Nose, Ear, Throat Specialist & Head-Neck Surgeon, Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitfort Hospital, Dhaka.  Dr. Nuruzzaman Sifat, MBBS, BCS (Health), FCPS Final (Medicine), CCD Bardem, Dhaka. Medical Officer Sadar Hospital, Sunamganj.
Observation said Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Swapan said, “Many patients have high blood pressure and diabetes. They need regular treatment. There is a lack of awareness among them. Many do not take treatment at the initial stage. It is necessary to take initiatives to make them aware.”  Dr.  Anup Talukder said, “I have seen 50 patients with ear, nose and throat problems. Out of them 2 need surgery. Others need follow-up treatment.”  Dr.  Nuruzzaman Sifat said, “I have seen many patients who do not take primary care. There is a lack of awareness among them. The conscious people of the society should be more proactive. It is necessary to ensure their treatment.”
