Assistant Director Anichur Rahman and Nasreen Akhtar, Chottogram Divisional Director of Consumer Rights Protection Directorate conducted the operation on Sunday (March 24) afternoon.

Faiz Ullah Chottogram Divisional Director of Consumer Rights Protection Directorate said, “Main in India was being written and sold in Punjabi made in Rajasthan. We wanted to show the import documents. they could not show them. It is cheating the buyer. I have fined 1.5 lakh.

He said, I have strictly told to put Main in Bangladesh tag on all clothes. A warning has been issued to refrain from such activities in the future.

Besides, in another raid a food store called Puravi Food’s in Chottogram New Market. Meanwhile, the use of harmful chemical hides to remove stains from clothes in the Iftar item Jilapi was found. This organization was fined 50 thousand taka.
