Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury said the government is following green and climate resilient development policies to ensure environment-friendly and climate-friendly development. He said climate change is now mainstreaming. This policy will be followed in all sectors including planning of health, communication, infrastructure.  No development can be done by occupying mountains and forests. Cutting of mountains and reservoirs will be stopped. Action will be taken against those building houses by cutting hills.
The Environment Minister said these things while addressing the chief guest at the seminar entitled ‘Navigating the Climate Discourse: From Cop-28 Insights to Cop-29 Expectations’ at The Westin, Dhaka on Monday afternoon.
