In Bandarban Sadar Upazila,there is severe fresh water shortage in various remote neighborhoods.In this context,Bandarban Sadar Upazila Administration has distributed 400 liters of fresh water among the villagers of Getshimani Para,Betheni Para,Laimi Para and Sharonpara of Bandarban Sadar.

On Tuesday (March 19) after learning about the acute shortage of drinking water,Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Umme Habiba Mira provided this drinking water to the residents of these areas over by the overall supervision.Bandarban Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Umme Habiba Mira,Sadar Upazila Project Implementation Officer (PIO) Md.Jahangir Alam were present on the occasion.In this regard, project implementation officer Md. Jahangir Alam said that,more activities to solve the fresh water crisis will continue in the future.

Meanwhile,the local people living in these areas have welcomed such initiative and have strongly demanded the administration to take effective measures to permanently solve the fresh water crisis.People living in these neighborhoods thanked the upazila administration for temporarily providing clean water.
