Relatives complain of negligence, the authorities say natural death!

In Chittagong’s Max Hospital, there have been complaints of patient death due to wrong treatment. This time, a man named Abul Bashar lost his life after 24 hours of returning home from angiogram at Max Hospital. This incident happened on Saturday, March 16. Later on, it was found that when a man named Abul Bashar was admitted to the hospital with chest pain, the hospital authorities advised him to have a heart ring fitted by an angiogram.

Later Dr. Ashish De put a ring on the heart of the man named Abul Bashar. After investigation, it was found that the patient was admitted to Max Hospital’s CCU before the angiogram. Dr. Ashish De done angiogram. After that, Bashar went home from the hospital on Friday morning with the clearance. However, it is not understandable why the patient was discharged from the hospital after 24 hours if he was supposed to be under observation for 72 hours after doing the angiogram. When Dr. Ashish was contacted to inquire about this, he told Morning Glory to contact the hospital authorities.

Later, when the manager of Max Hospital Ashish De was contacted to talk about this, he said that tomorrow i.e. 17th March, he would go to the hospital to meet him. After talking to the director of the hospital Pankaj Dutta to know about this, he said that no one does anything about the natural death of the patient during the angiogram.
On the other hand, the patient’s relatives claim that Bashar died due to wrong treatment. Bashar lost his life due to lack of proper monitoring after fitting the ring. He has given clearance even if there is a rule of 72 hours observation and not doing it.

Chittagong Divisional Health Director Dr. Mohammad Mohiuddin said he did not know anything about this. No one complained. According to sources, it is known that the relative of a patient named Titu has been managed by paying 1 lakh 80 thousand taka to cover up this incident. Also earlier, the cases of patient death due to wrong treatment in Max Hospital are not less.
