World Consumer Rights Day-2024 was celebrated at Kumarkhali in Kushtia with the theme “Smart Bangladesh Gari, use artificial intelligence for the benefit of consumers”. On the occasion of celebrating the day, a rally and discussion meeting was organized by the upazila administration.

A colorful rally was taken out from the Upazila Parishad building on Friday (March 15) at 10:00 am. At the end of the rally road circuit, a discussion meeting was held in the Upazila Parishad conference room.

Under the supervision of Upazila Social Service Officer Mohammad Ali and presided over by Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer, brave freedom fighters, businessmen, teachers/teachers, journalists etc. were present at the event.

It should be noted that on March 15, 1962, on the initiative of the former President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, four rights were recognized in the interest of consumers in the United States Congress. World Consumer Rights Day is celebrated in the country on March 15 every year to commemorate the historic day of official recognition of the consumer movement in the US Congress.
