The National Directorate of Consumer Rights has fined a vendor in the city Tk 50,000 for charging excessive prices.
On Monday (March 11) morning, Deputy Director Faiz Ullah conducted an operation in the station road area of the city. He was assisted by assistant director Anichur Rahman and Nasreen Akhtar.
Faiz Ullah said that an organization called Member Trade does not have a price list. So he was selling lemons at different prices by understanding the opportunity. There is also no receipt for buying lemons from the garden. This company has been fined Tk50 thousand.
