Like every year, Bandarban Army Zone has provided one month of iftar food to ten madrasas and orphanages of Sadar Upazila.On Monday (March 11) afternoon, Bandarban Army Zone distributed iftar food to various orphanages.Zone Commander of Bandarban Army Zone Lt. Col. ASM Mahmudul Hasan, PSC was present as the chief guest in the iftar distribution ceremony.

The iftar items were received by representatives of madrassas and orphanages from far and wide in the event conducted over by Bandarban Army Zone Zonal Staff Officer Captain Sabit Noor Rasheed.Journalists from print and electronic media were present on the occasion.

While speaking as the chief guest on the occasion Zone Commander Lt. Col. ASM Mahmudul Hasan, PSC said, “Bandarban Army Zone is giving this small gift to you on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.Our main objective is to share the joy of the holy month of Ramadan by distributing these Iftar items. I hope this small gift by army zone to you will help to fast in the month of Ramadan in whole months.He also assured that such assistance will continue in the future as in the past.

On this day 354 kg of gram,234 kg of puffed rice,112 kg of dates,569 kg of sugar,569 liter oil and 569 kg of pulses were distributed for the 390 orphan students in sadar zone.The representatives of these organizations expressed their happiness at the beginning of Ramadan by receiving iftar items.At the same time expressed thanks and appreciation to Bandarban Army Zone.
