The Bandarban Army Region has been working for many years to strengthen the bond of harmony between the military and civil circles in Bandarban. As a part of this, “Parbatya Pramila Football Tournament- 2024” has been organized to strengthen the women’s football team. Bandarban army region and district administration jointly organized this tournament.

It’s organized for the first time at the Bandarban District Stadium. It was held on Monday (February 19). Bandarban Zone Commander Lt. Col. ASM Mahmudul Hasan, PSC announced the auspicious opening of the tournament by blowing colorful balloons. Bandarban Local Government Department Deputy Director (Acting) S.M Manjurul Haque presided over the inauguration ceremony.

Bandarban Army Region (GSO-3) Captain Abdul Mannan, District Administration Nejarat Deputy Collector (NDC) Sheikh Abdullah Al Mamun, Army Zone Adjutant Captain Md. Sajedur Rahman, Khagrachari District Sports Association Secretary Jewel Chakma, Bandarban Press Club President Aminul Islam Bacchu, Acting Secretary of Bandarban District Sports Association Mujibur Rashid was present.

In the first match of the opening day of the tournament, Khagrachari district team defeated the Bandarban district team by 4-1.Tinni Tripura scored the maximum two goals for Khagrachari. Also Titing Tripura and Snigdha Chakma scored 1 goal each.

In the other game of the day, Rangamati Football Team beat Bandarban 4-0.Number 11 jersey holder Manti Chakma alone scored 4 goals. Manti Chakma also scored the first hat-trick of the tournament.

Zone commander said that there is no alternative to sports in order to build a healthy and beautiful life in addition to the education of our boys and girls. Such arrangements will continue in the future.Army Zone and Bandarban Army Region will continue to support local sportsmen in the future as in the past. He expressed his gratitude and thanks to the district administration and the district sports organization by mentioning the sincere cooperation of Bandarban Deputy Commissioner and District Sports Association President Shah Mujahid Uddin.
