On Thursday (15-02-24) Commerce State Minister Ahsanul Islam Titu Khatungan in the meeting room of Khatunganj Trade and Industries Association organized by the National Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection in the participation of the members of the Trade and Industries Association, traders and stakeholders at various levels in the discussion meeting on the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009 in the speech of the chief guest, Give this instruction.
The state minister also said that if the product supply of a region is not good, the price of the product will increase, it is the religion of the market. Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Food, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock have all decided to open the information related to the market. Promotion of reasonable price lists is a major tool to prevent mispromotion. Market should be regulated by supply of goods as per requirement and rational pricing of goods. If the price of the product is low, the farmer will reduce the production of the product. As a result, the supply of the product will decrease and the price of the product will increase. So the product should be priced reasonably.
The state minister also said that the businessmen of Khatunganj have been supplying essential products throughout the country with reputation for hundreds of years. I want the traders of Khatunganj to keep that tradition. Once Chittagong businessmen could not be seen in Dhaka. Now every businessman has at least one apartment in Dhaka. It cannot be denied that the condition of traders has also changed.
FBCCI and Khatunganj Trade and Industries Association President Mahbubul Alam presided over the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman, National Consumer Directorate Chittagong Deputy Director Mohammad Faiz Ullah, Khatunganj Trade and Industries Association General Secretary Chagir Ahmed spoke. Also members of Trade and Industries Association, businessmen and stakeholders of various levels presented their views.
