Three organizations were fined Tk 6 lakh in the raid conducted in Chattogram Karnaphuli upazila under the leadership of Executive Magistrate of Bangladesh Safe Food Authority Sohel Rana. The operation was conducted on Tuesday (February 6).

District Safe Food Officer Md Farhan Islam said that Mashud Agro Processing Food Products Limited was fined Tk 4 lakh in the raid. They also produced food products with expired ghee and preserved rotting dry fruits.

Modern Chocolate Factory has been fined Tk 1 lakh. Noor Sweets has been fined Tk 1 lakh.

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) along with the support staff of the Bangladesh Safe Food Authority assisted in the operation of the mobile court.
