The railway minister does not know about the preparation of the trade fair at the polo ground in Chittagong, even if he talks about the verbal permission.

They again protested the organization of the fair by disobeying the instructions of the Prime Minister. At this time, they said that since the sports returned to this field, from the youth to the organizers, they got life. If the fair is organized here again, the sports will be sent to exile. The speakers demanded the closure of this fair due to the intervention of the highest level of the government.

Going to the polo ground field, it can be seen that the preparations for the fair are going on in full swing, on one side of the field, excavation work is going on with a excavator, on the other side, the construction of the shop is going on by erecting iron angles. Chattogram Chamber of Commerce President Omar Bin Hajjaj was contacted to inquire about the organization of the fair at the playground, but he did not receive the call after repeated attempts to contact him.

Former Chittagong City Corporation Administrator Khorshed Alam Sujan said, “We knew that there would never be a fair again at the Polo Ground.” This should not be the case. It is definitely unfair to our children. Now there are many places to hold fairs in Chittagong, not in the playground.

When talking to ABM Fazle Karim, the current Member of Parliament of Chittagong 6 Constituency and former President of the Parliamentary Committee on Railway Ministry, he told the Daily Morning Glory reporter that he does not know anything about this matter. There is not supposed to be a fair in the polo ground, he does not know any information that the fair is taking place. Instructions have been given to the concerned department in this regard. If the fair is held after this, he said that he will talk to the Railway Minister about this.

Zillul Hakim got the responsibility of the new railway minister after the 12th national parliament election. There has been no less discussion and criticism about the fair in this field. Even in Chittagong, there is a shortage of field on this fair. There are rumors that the Chittagong Chamber is organizing this fair with verbal permission from the Railway Minister. Morning Glory’s reporter contacted Railway Minister Jillul Hakim over the phone to find out about this, he said that he did not know anything about a fair being held at the polo ground. Later, at one stage of the conversation, the reporter asked that the fair was being held with the verbal permission of the minister. But he doesn’t know anything about permission. Later he told the reporter to know the details and to call again. On the other hand, it is known that various sports organizations have taken up various programs including standard protest meetings to demand the closure of this fair to be held at the polo ground.

Heed, 10 years ago, during the visit to the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2014 Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina instructed the concerned officials that nothing else should happen in the playground.
