The Bangladesh Safe Food Authority has fined Royal Bangla Sweets of Enayet Bazar in the city for unlabelled chemical bottles, storing cooked and raw food together in the fridge and dirty environment.
Bangladesh Safe Food Authority Executive Magistrate Abdus Sobhan led the drive on Wednesday (January 24).
Bangladesh Safe Food Officer Mohammad Bashir Ahmed, Safe Food Inspector Yachinul Haque Chowdhury and CMP policemen cooperated fully in the operation.
Mohammad Bashir Ahmed said, Royal Bangla Sweets has been fined Tk 1 lakh under the Safe Food Act due to unlabeled chemical bottles, storing cooked and raw food together in the fridge and dirty environment.
Besides, Sadia’s Kitchen and Mishtimukh of Chawkbazar have been given various suggestions to ensure food quality and healthy environment under the Safe Food Act. Such operations will continue in public interest.
