Mujibur Rahman appeared at Banskhali health complex, but doctor-nurse did not come

It’s eight thirty in the morning on Tuesday. Still no doctor-nurse came to Banskhali Upazila Health Complex.

Suddenly MP Mujibur Rahman appeared there. Came and saw that no one was present except a doctor in the emergency department.

During this time he visited the ward and talked to the patients. After talking to the doctors who came for a long time, he urged them to increase the quality of treatment.

Newly elected Member of Parliament Mujibur Rahman visited Banshkhali for the first time after taking oath and visited upazila health complex, two secondary and two primary schools. The MP entered the hospital at 8:30 am on Tuesday (January 16).

According to the roster, 12 doctors were working. Even upazila health and family planning officer Dr. Shafiur Rahman Majumder himself was absent. However, around 9 o’clock, the doctors in charge started coming to the hospital one by one.

The member of parliament was shocked and outraged by the gross mismanagement during his visit to the hospital. He instructed to keep the unclean toilets, beds and bed sheets in the hospital wards clean. At that time, many patients were present at the hospital for medical treatment, but they were deprived of medical care due to lack of doctors and staff. Some patients approached the parliamentarian and raised their grievances. The MP said that he will listen to the patients and make arrangements to ensure that the patients get adequate services.

Later, addressing the doctors present, the member of parliament said, ‘I respect the doctors. Your service to patients will increase that respect. When a patient is happy, God is happy. Due to the factionalism among the doctors in these hospitals, no common patient is harmed. I will work less. But I will do what I do well.

At this time the upazila health officer Dr. Shafiur Rahman Majumdar said, ‘Sir, forgive me like this time.

Later, the MP visited two secondary schools and two government primary schools. Visited Banskhali Government Primary School around 10 am. He expressed his satisfaction with the education environment in this school. At 10:10 AM, he went to Banskhali Adarsh High School and saw students leaving the classrooms and roaming around in the school grounds and balconies. At that time, the member of parliament requested the teachers to send the students to the classroom, but he was disappointed to see the learning environment in this school as many students were outside.

At around 12 o’clock, the member of parliament was happy to see the educational environment at the East Raichha Government Primary School of Coastal Khankhanabad Union. He also spoke to teachers and students in the classrooms of the school.

At this time, the member of parliament said, I am very happy to visit two primary schools today. The learning environment in both the schools is satisfactory. At around 12:30 PM, the Member of Parliament visited Rayachta Premashia Adarsh High School.

Inspection of fire damaged areas
Member of Parliament Mujibur Rahman visited the houses and garages damaged by fire in Baharullah neighborhood of Banskhali municipality. At this time, he spoke to the affected family members and announced personal cooperation.
