BGB dog squad search in Chapainawabganj

BGB conducted searches with dog squad in important polling stations in Chapainawabganj. The BGB said that this search operation was carried out to ensure smooth voting on Sunday (January 7). BGB 59 battalion captain Lt. Colonel Golam Kibria said that BGB members went to the important centers of Shibganj and Gomstapur upazilas of the district from Saturday (January 6) morning. At this time, a search was conducted with the dog squad along with the security check of the center. This activity will continue until the start of voting.
Besides the polling stations, BGB is conducting checks by setting up checkposts at various places on the road.
Earlier, at Chapainawabganj railway station at 10 am on Friday, members of 53 BGB battalion were seen searching the train rooms and passengers’ bags with their trained dog squad. 53 BGB captain Lt. Colonel Md. Nahid Hossain said that the BGB members are monitoring important areas including railway stations so that no untoward incident happens around the elections.
According to the sources of the returning officer’s office, this time, votes will be taken in 512 centers in three constituencies of the district. Of these, 325 centers have been identified as critical.
