SM Al Mamun, the elder son of Sitakund Constituency Member of Parliament Abul Kashem, who resigned from the post of Upazila Chairman to become a candidate for four parliamentary constituencies in Chittagong, was in discussion from the beginning. After receiving the nomination of the party candidate from the party nomination board, he should get the nomination. If he gets elected, he is doing public relations with the voters by promising to stand by the people’s happiness and sorrow. He has stood by the people while he was the Upazila Cheongerman. He has such a reputation throughout Sitakund. So he wants to follow the path shown by his father as an MP.

You have served as the upazila chair man and now you are electing for the position of member of parliament, what are the people’s wishes for you?

Mamun: Ever since I got the boat symbol, people have been waiting with enthusiasm and enthusiasm to vote. I have always stood by the people while being upazila chairman twice. They already know me well, InshaAllah if I win they will be able to fulfill their hopes.

I have seen in various places that the opposition candidate of Awami League in this election is from his own party, you have here too, Trinamul BNP and Jatiz Party candidates are also fighting over him. How competitive do you think the election will be from your seat?

Mamun: I have been associated with the politics of the Awami family for many years and won the election for the post of upazila chairman twice. The boat has now become a brand because of the great development that the Prime Minister has been carrying out in the last ten years. The power boat for independence, this boat is the boat of Bangabandhu, Sheikh Hasina, Amsa’s father Abul Kashem Master. So I believe seven stars will win the boat by public vote. He also said that it is as difficult to buy votes with money as it is easier to win people’s hearts with love. He was the upazila chairman and the people’s trust in Bab Kashem master was also on him.
