Finally got the Bail

In the incident of journalist beating, the plaintiff is the election officer, the defendant is the MP of Ctg-16 (Baskhali) Mostafigur Rahman Chowdhury Constituency.
He got bail from Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Jewel Deb’s court on Wednesday (January 3) morning. Earlier, Mostafizur Rahman Chy surrendered to that court and applied for bail.
Confirming the matter, Advocate Sheikh Iftekhar Saimul Chowdhury, a lawyer for the Chittagong District PP and on be half of the Election Commission, told Daily Morning Glory that Bashkhali Member of Parliament Mostafizur Rahman Chy surrendered and got bail in Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Court No. 1 on Wednesday morning. The court granted him bail in the surety of a lawyer and a local person on a fixed bond.
Mostafizur Rahman Chy and 20-30 other unknown people have been accused in the case. The court accepted the case and directed the accused Mostafizur Rahman Rahman Chy to appear before the court on 3rd January.
It is known that Bashkhali Upazila Election Officer Harun Molla filed a case in Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Jewel Deb’s court on December 26. The case was filed under Section 8 (b) of the Election Code of Conduct for violation of the Election Code of Conduct and the offense of beating up journalists, and break down of election rule.
Advocate Sheikh Iftekhar Saimul Chy also told Daily Morning Glory that Bashkhali Member of Parliament Mostafizur Rahman Chy submitted his nomination papers to Chittagong District Administrator’s Office on November 30. They submitted nominations with a large number of people violating the code of conduct while submitting nominations.
When the journalist of Independent Television questioned him about this, the 20-30 accused who were with him, including Member of Parliament Mostafizur Rahman Chy behaved aggressively towards the media workers and vandalized the TV cameras and microphones. In this incident, Independent TV bureau chief Anupam Sheen made a written complaint to the returning officer.
Regarding this, the Election Inquiry Committee of Ctg-16 Constituency gave a report to the Election Commission mentioning the details of the incident. In view of that report, the candidate instructed to file a case against Mostafizur Rahman chy. According to this, Baskhali Election Officer has filed a case against Mostafizur Rahman Chy and his other 20/30 accused in the CMM Court. The court accepted the case and ordered the accused Mostafizur Rahman Chy to appear in court on 3rd January.
