Bandarban District Information Office organized a discussion and exchange meeting on “What we should do to build Smart Bangladesh”.Deputy Commissioner Shah Mujahid Uddin was present as the chief guest in the meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner conference room on Sunday (December 31).District Information Officer Md.Mizanur Rahman presided over the event.

At this time Assistant Commissioner (ICT Branch) Md.Nabab Ali presented a concept paper on what we should do to build Smart Bangladesh.Assistant Superintendent of Police Md.Amzad Hossain,Deputy Director of Social Services Department Milton Muhuri,Press Club President Aminul Islam Baccu,officials of various departments, students and journalists of print and electronic media were present in the event.

In the meeting District Information Officer Mizanur Rahman said,Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s dream was to build Golden Bengali.Keeping that reality in front,under the able leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,independent sovereign Bangladesh is moving towards the implementation of “Smart Bangladesh” by 2041.Following the successful implementation of the Digital Bangladesh Vision 2022,the government is now working towards building a smart Bangladesh,an innovative and knowledge- based economy by 2041.Through this, Modern power grid,green economy,skill development,recognition of freelancing profession and development of urban development will be ensured for Smart Bangladesh.

Deputy Commissioner Shah Mujahid Uddin said in the chief guest’s speech that the use of technology and innovative methods should be ensured for the life of the people and sustainable development of the country. Smart Bangladesh aims to make Bangladesh a digitally enabled and more sustainable country.Creating new economic opportunities,using technology to address the nation’s challenges and opportunities and building sustainable,efficient and inclusive societies.He also said that smart citizens, smart economy,smart government and smart society will work as the main basis for making the country smart Bangladesh.
