Executive Engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Chapainawabganj Md. Mazaher Ali said that the alternative to bricks, eco-friendly concrete blocks are cost-effective and relatively earthquake-resistant, so the demand for bricks will increase in the construction sector in Chapainawabganj district.
He said this as the chief guest during the inauguration of the first block factory of the district at Bulanpur industrial area of Nayagola, Chapainawabganj on Saturday noon.
The chief guest said that the demand for concrete blocks made of a mixture of crushed stone, sand, stone dust and cement is increasing day by day. It is more environmentally friendly than red brick made by burning clay. Currently, the demand for these concrete blocks is high for various construction projects starting from housing. Finally, he wished the success of Abir Eco Block Factory, a subsidiary of M/s Reza and Rana Auto Rice Mill.
