Workshops on Robotic Surgery and Digital Surgery were held at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). It was held under the auspices of the Islamic World Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization at the Shaheed Dr. Milton Hall on Thursday.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Sharfuddin Ahmed inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest.
Ideas are offered on how to improve the use of technology in surgery, the role of government in promoting better disease treatment and technological innovation, and the institutional role in research innovation to improve disease treatment.
On the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor said that an initiative has been taken to build a smart hospital with the introduction of robotic surgery. Today’s workshop on digital surgery and robotic surgery is his part.
