In Brahmanbaria-5 (Navinagar) constituency, independent candidate Sayed withdrew by supporting the candidate of Boat.

He supported Awami League nominated candidate Faizur Rahman Badal in Brahmanbaria-5 seat.

He is General Secretary of Bangladesh Hockey Federation, Joint Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami Jubo League and former Councilor of Dhaka South City Corporation.

Earlier, he withdrew the nomination papers from the Returning Officer’s office.

He said, “I became an independent candidate in this constituency on the instructions of Sheikh Hasina to make the upcoming elections participatory. But this seat has become competitive with the march of other candidates. So the responsibility is to win the boat without dividing the voters. That is why I withdrew from the election to support Awami League candidate Faizur Rahman Badal. I want to work for the development of the area together with the people of Apamar. I have not withdrawn the nomination under any intimidation or party pressure. I have taken this decision because I love the team. I hope to go further in politics. I have withdrawn the nomination papers, it does not mean that I am going away, but I will definitely stand by the people of the area.”

Sayed urged to forget the differences and vote for the boat brand in the upcoming elections.
