Bandarban Under-14 team is participating in the competition of Chittagong divisional stage of 2023 and 24 in Young Tigers U-14 National Cricket Tournament organized by Bangladesh Cricket Board.On Tuesday (December 19) 18 players and officials left Bandarban.

On behalf of Bandarban District Sports Association President and District Commissioner Shah Mojahid Uddin, General Secretary (Acting) of District Sports Association Mujibur Rashid gave farewell greetings to the players.Officials of the District Sports Association,journalists and parents were present on the occasion.

District Sports Association executive member Dilip Kumar Dey is leading the team as the manager of the cricket team.15 under-14 cricketers are representing Bandarban district.Rahul Biswas is serving as the coach.Four teams will face each other in three matches in Chittagong Division (B Group) in league format.

Bandarban’s players will take on Feni District Cricket Team in the first match on Wednesday (December 20).The match will be played on the turf wicket of Sagarika Mahila Complex Ground,Chittagong.Feni, Cox’s Bazar and Rangamati district team are competing in Group-B.The Chittagong divisional level tournament has been divided into four groups and 11 districts will participate.This time the venue of the tournament is Chandpur District Stadium, Comilla District Stadium,Chittagong Sagarika women Complex Ground.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced that the final and conclude ceremony of the tournament will be held on December 31.Incidentally,the Bangladesh Cricket Board has been organizing these age-based tournaments every year to bring out cricketers from the roots.Many of the selected players from several age-based cricket tournaments have also made it to the Bangladesh national cricket team.
