Teknaf Model Police Station arrested a smuggler with 1,495 liters of octane and two fishing trawlers used in smuggling from Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar to Myanmar. At this time, 9 other smugglers escaped by trickery.
The value of recovered octane and fishing trawler is Tk 3 lakh 95 thousand 845.
Arrested smuggler Mo Haroon (30) is the son of Rahim Ali and Amina Khatun, Ward No. 6, Deilpara, Teknaf Sadar Union.
He was arrested in a raid in Baharchhara Ghat area of Sabrang Union in the early hours of Wednesday (December 13).
Teknaf Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Osman Gani confirmed this.
