Disabled Day is celebrated in Chapainawabganj

The 32nd International Day of Persons with Disabilities and the 25th National Day of Persons with Disabilities were celebrated in Chapainawabganj with the slogan ‘Joint participation with disabled persons will ensure the achievement of SDGs’.
On the occasion of the day on Sunday (December 3), Swed Bangladesh Buddhi Pratibandhi Vidyalaya, Chapainawabganj organized a flag hoisting, procession, discussion meeting and cultural program.
At 11 o’clock in the school premises in Pathanpara of district town, the chief guest was Ferdosi Islam Jesi, Member of Parliament of Chapainawabganj reserved seat 338 in Jatiya Sangsad.
The chief guest said that despite being disabled, many children are developing their talent and skills in various fields. The news of their success in overcoming hundreds of obstacles is often seen. He also said that disabled people should not be neglected in the society, this kind of attitude should be changed. People with disabilities are not a burden to society. Rather, through talent, skills and proper training, they too can become assets of society, country and nation. He said that the Awami League government is a disabled-friendly government. Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is implementing multi-dimensional and intensive programs to ensure the rights and protection of disabled persons in the country.
Principal of the school Mst. Ambia Khatun Milli presided over the function. Sadar Upazila A.League Joint Secretary Mesbahul Zaker’s wife Mst. Lovely and proprietor of Sotota Garments Mr. Mahabbat Ali was the special guest. Mr. Abdul Khalek, organizational secretary of the school conducted the program.
