Abdul Wahed was re-elected joint secretary of IBCCI

The governments of both countries are working to strengthen the commercial relations between Bangladesh and India. Besides, the role of Bangladesh-India businessmen is significant. India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI) is making a big contribution in this regard. Bi-annual elections of India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (2024-2026) were held at the Dhaka office of IBCCI on Monday (27 November 2023 AD).

Chapainawabganj Chamber President, former director of FBCCI and MD of Quality Enterprise Abdul Wahed has been elected as joint general secretary for the 5th time. Nittol-Niloy Group leader Matlub Ahmed has been elected as the President of India-Bangladesh Joint Chamber and Country Head of State Bank of India Amit Kumar has been elected as the General Secretary.

Abdul Wahed is the initiative and director of this organization since its establishment. He is the Chairman of FBCCI Standing Committee on Border Trade, Transit and Transshipment Land Ports, President of Bangladesh Mango Producers Merchants Association and Managing Director of Quality Group.

India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the national organization of businessmen of the two countries, is the chief adviser to the Indian High-Commissioner in Dhaka.
