Everyone should work in building Smart Bangladesh: Minister Bir Bahadur

Most development works have been implemented in the hilly areas during the tenure of the present government.The Awami League government has taken up various development projects for the people of the plains and the hill country and is implementing them in a good manner. The Minister for Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing (MP) made such a comment during a public gathering after the inauguration of various development works in Rowangchari Upazila of Bandarban on Tuesday (07 November). Minister Bir Bahadur also said that many roads,bridges,culverts have been built in different areas of Bandarban and besides that,there are many developments in the power sector including education,health communication in remote areas,which are benefiting the villagers.At This Time Minister Bir Bahadur urged everyone to stand by the Awami League government to build a smart Bangladesh in the future. On this day,the Hill Minister inaugurated 5 development works including construction of PC Girder Bridge,Headman Para Irrigation Drain on Sangu River in Betchara area with the implementation of Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board at a cost of 21 Crore 85 Lakh Tk.In addition,Minister Bir Bahadur inaugurated 5 development works and laid the foundation stone of 1 work at the cost of 49 crore Tk of the Directorate of Local Government Engineering. Chairman of Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board Supradeep Chakma, Vice Chairman Harun-Or Rashid,Assistant Superintendent of Police Amjad Hossain, Senior Assistant Commissioner Arup Ratan Singha,Executive Engineer of Local Government Engineering Directorate (LGEG) Ziaul Islam Majumdar,Executive of Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board Bandarban Engineer Abu Bin Yasir Arafat were present on the occasion.Officials of various local government and private departments and civil society representatives were also present.
